I always like to know a bit more about brands in general, especially the ones that make my eyes sparkle!  Libertine-Libertine called my attention on my last fashion research trip to New York City last March, and I had it on my agenda to write about them since then.

Their pieces are strong, extravagant and fun. I am also a big fan of the merchandising set up at department stores, in the caseI was at Bergdorf Goodman. And if you are familiar with BG, you know it is not an easy task to stand out on those flawless floors, and to-die-for pieces. This “mogul” department store commercialize the most prestigious brands from all over the world.

Libertine-Libertine was established in Copenhagen during the summer of 2009 by Rasmus Bak, Pernille Schwarz, and Peter Munch Ovesen. Inspired by city lights and contemporary culture, the brand’s philosophy is to stimulate the creative soul without restrictions. And girls… don´t we love that! The mixture of colors, fabrics, and materials make every woman sparkle… as the creative director´s idea – let´s sparkle limitlessly!
